Activities have expanded to include offerings at Hobby Prison in Marlin, Texas.

Relational Bible Study
Since 2000, Truth Be Told has led a monthly Bible class at Hobby Prison. The method of Bible study used is based on Karl Olsson's book, Find Yourself in the Bible. Each participant identifies with a character in a Bible story and writes about it. In addition to the spiritual aspect, one of the goals of the class is to improve the inmates' reading and writing skills.

The class is very supportive of each other's efforts, and with courage and practice, reading and writing skills are improving.

Centering Prayer and 12-Step Recovery
In 2003, Truth Be Told was asked to bring in volunteers to facilitate the existing Emotions Anonymous group at Hobby prison. (Inmates are not allowed to meet without a volunteer if no staff members are available.) Truth Be Told was also invited to bring trained Contemplative Prayer practioners to teach inmates the practice of Centering Prayer.

Emotions Anonymous (EA) is a fellowship of people who work the 12 steps of AA and share their experiences, strengths, weaknesses, and hopes with one another in order to solve their emotional problems and to discover a way to live at peace with unsolved problems.

Centering Prayer (CP) is an ancient type of meditation that can help to change anger, pain, and frustration that are locked deep inside into something more useful and liberating. It can be useful as the 11th step in the traditional 12-step program.
