Meet Our Graduates
As you scroll through the inspiring videos on this page, you’ll hear from some of the incredible women who have graduated from Truth Be Told’s program and are now thriving. They come from all walks of life and have experienced a range of traumas, but what unites them is their determination to break free from the cycles of incarceration and transform their lives. Through Truth Be Told’s programs and supportive community, these women have found a voice, a safe space, and a pathway to healing. The prison system offers few opportunities for true rehabilitation, but Truth Be Told is changing that. It is essential for the women both inside the prison and post-release, providing them with the tools they need to succeed and thrive. Your support can help ensure that more women have access to this life-changing program.
These women are warriors. They have been through unimaginable experiences and come out the other side stronger and more resilient. But they didn't do it alone. Truth Be Told provided a safe space where they could connect with others who understood their struggles and encouraged them to keep pushing forward. Together, they have created a community that celebrates each other's successes and supports each other through their challenges.
At Truth Be Told, we believe in the power of human connection and the ability of each person to make a positive impact in the world. Our graduates embody this spirit and are a testament to what can happen when we lift each other up and support one another on the journey of life.
Many women in prison have experienced traumatic events that led them down the path of incarceration. The prison system often fails to provide effective rehabilitation programs to address these traumas, leaving these women to suffer in silence. That's where Truth Be Told comes in, providing a safe space for these women to heal and grow, both inside and outside of prison walls.
Truth Be Told helps women who are lost and broken and gives them hope. It provides a space where they can come together and heal from their past. Our programs have helped these women to realize their worth and potential, and given them the tools to create a better life for themselves and their families.
Meet Barbara, a graduate free since 2019. Barbara has been a poet her whole life, but it wasn’t until she participated in Truth Be Told’s Talk to Me program that she read her poetry out loud in front of others. “[That class] is where I found my voice,” she says.

Help us make a difference in women's lives
The women you saw on this page have all faced incredible challenges and overcome them with the help of Truth Be Told’s unique approach. They have found their voice, their strength, and their community, and they are now on a path to a brighter future. We believe that every woman deserves the chance to heal and build a better life for herself and her loved ones. Truth Be Told provides a critical lifeline for women in prison and post-release, and we rely on the generosity of donors like you to keep our program running. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue this important work. Together, we can create a world where every woman has the support and tools she needs to break free from the cycle of incarceration and live a fulfilling life.
Children with incarcerated parents are at a higher risk of experiencing trauma and falling into the cycle of incarceration themselves. That's why it's so important that programs like Truth Be Told exist to support incarcerated women and help them break free from the cycle. This not only benefits the women themselves but also their children and future generations. The story of this grandson and his grandmother's journey with Truth Be Told is a testament to the transformative power of this program. Please consider supporting Truth Be Told so we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of women and their families.
If you decide to give, thank you for your support!
