Graduates inspire community to raise more than $76K

Amidst a health and economic crisis and all the uncertainty and tragedy of 2020, Truth Be Told graduates shared their stories of hope, human resiliency and healing for a week-long campaign to raise awareness and funding for Truth Be Told.

Their truth-telling during the 40K in 7 Days campaign evoked an unprecedented $38,058 in contributions in one week! Every dollar was matched, so altogether our donors generated more than $76,000 to support Truth Be Told programs and operations. A deep bow of gratitude to the following individuals for their generous match: past Board Chair Robert Miser and his wife, Peggy; current Board Secretary Harriett Choffel and her husband, Ken; former Board Chair Donna Snyder and her husband, Richard Donahue; and an anonymous donor.

On behalf of our staff, our board of directors, the incarcerated women we serve, and our 40K in 7 Days graduate spokeswomen Arianna, Barbara, DJ, Lainey, Leslie, Sharon and Tammy, we thank you for choosing to be changemakers for Truth Be Told. We thank you for investing in programs that empower justice-involved women. We thank you for witnessing their stories and affirming their truth-telling.

Together, we can change an imprisoning narrative. Together, we can reimagine justice for women!
